Hunting season‘ It’s here. The new format of Flooxer arrives this Sunday, September 8, to the Atresplayer youth channel from the hand of Cesc Escola, Gakian and Álvaro CasaresThis trio of influencers will take on the role of cunning hunters to try to hunt down other content creators who have the opposite role as fugitives.

As part of FesTVal 2024, YOTELE has been able to speak with the three main protagonists who will travel across the country to try to capture these “escaped prisoners” which, as they have told us, has not been easy at all despite being three against one.

How did you get along with each other?

CESC: “In the end we didn’t know each other and at the same time we are very different and we got along very well. Filming is hard. You spend seven or eight hours driving in a van and there is a lot of tension. It was great and we had a great time. Each one brings something different. Gokian brings madness and fun. Álvaro brings a lot of fun and knowledge of the surroundings of Madrid and I am more competitive. I think it will be very popular. The key was that we didn’t know each other.”

GAKIAN: “I’m going to be the more corporate part. They gave us a PDF and the keywords were “action” and “full speed” and things like that. I gave reports to the Dutch guy. It’s been quite an experience. It’s been a complicated trio but we’ve learned a lot from each other. There have been moments of laughter, fun and hard times on a psychological level. I went from lying at home on the sofa to running millions of kilometres.”

What struck you most about the programme?

ALVARO:”The programme is a new format in Spain. I don’t know how it would turn out. I’m very hyped because it’s very well edited. It was like an Amaral song and we were on the road all day. I think I have a taxi driver’s soul because I would look at the maps and say that it would take less time here, although I often got it wrong. I knew all the roads and addresses and that helped.”

CESC“There are 6 hours of recording concentrated in half an hour that the program lasts, so something has to come out of that. It has been very competitive.”

GAKIAN:”Álvaro had constant information and was very calm. We knew we could trust him. It’s like ChatGPT.”

What has been the attitude of the fugitives during the program?

ALVARO: “There are people that we have caught and they have gotten angry. We have been a bit like the Treasury because we have made influencers sweat. I received the proposal by email and five different people had to explain the format of the program to me.”

CESC:”In general they put themselves in the shoes of prisoners and need freedom. If they manage to be free in these four hours they will not return to prison. Many of them want to, but many factors do not depend on them and they have to improvise. They cannot have a pre-established route and you don’t know if any car is going to stop you hitchhiking or if you are going to take a plane, a helicopter or a boat. We imposed ourselves on them a bit and some of them have worked really hard.”

GAKIAN: “I think that, being influencers, they thought we were frag collectors.”

What is the objective of the program?

CESC“It’s a jailbreak and every 10 minutes you had the location of the program. You can stop, but that makes the program much easier for them. You can’t hide because we have their location and if you hide or stay still we’ll catch you.”

GAKIAN“The fugitives have access to planes, helicopters and boats, but we only have tablets. For the second season they could increase the budget a little and have a taser or something like that.”

Have you always been together or could you separate?

ALVARO“One of the rules of the program is that the van cannot be left alone. If we get lost, we mess up. If we get lost, we mess up. We communicate with walkies from the car and if we get out of the car to look for it, we can get lost.”

GAKIAN“We’ve learned each other’s roles as we go along. I have the feeling that we’ve been a great team. Outside of this environment we wouldn’t have met and we’ve worked very well.”

How was their reaction to being hunted?

ALVARO“There are people who gave their all, there are people who got angry and there are people who made things very difficult for you. There is everything and there has been tension.”

GOKIAN: “We appreciate that they reacted like that. When they get angry, it means that there has been involvement and then the format is working. I think that the viewer will notice where there is passion. It has been an honest programme.”

CESC“Fugitives have a ranking and the trick is to see who in this ranking does the most. The one who escapes has a ranking higher than four hours and the one who doesn’t, the time he has lasted without being captured”
