Paris, March 28 (EFE).- Prince Albert II of Monaco highlighted, during the historic visit of Pope Leo
“The history that we celebrate today represents more than 700 years of fidelity and faith, which his (the Pope’s) presence reinforces; it is nothing more than a stage on an even longer path,” said the Monegasque sovereign from a balcony of the Prince’s palace, accompanied by the pontiff and Princess Charléne and in front of thousands of people gathered.
This apostolic visit of the Pope, who arrived this Saturday by helicopter to the small Catholic principality where he will be for just 9 hours, is historic because it is the first that a pontiff has made to Monaco since the 16th century and it is also the first European trip of the pontificate of Leo XIV.
