At least 13 people have deceased this Friday in a fire that took place in a school residence in the central Chinese province of Henan, the newspaper ‘China Daily’ reported. As a result of the fire, which occurred around 11:00 p.m. (local time), another person has been injured and had to be transferred to the hospital, where she is admitted in stable condition.
At 11:00 p.m. on Friday, the local Fire Department received a call reporting a fire at the residence of Yingcai School in Yanshanpu Village, Dushu City. The rescue teams moved to the indicated location and at around 11:38 p.m. (local time) the flames had already been extinguished.
Local authorities have launched an investigation into the causes of the fire, according to ‘China Daily’.
