Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Mojtaba Khameneiurged Persian Gulf rulers in a written message on Sunday to identify their “true enemy,” understand their plans and confront them.
The message, on the occasion of the anniversary of the birth of the prophet Muhammadpublished in the account of Telegram of Khamenei, He also called for unity, mutual defense against “enemies” and cooperation among Muslims around the world.
Has not been seen Khamenei in public since he was wounded in the US and Israeli airstrikes six months ago, which sparked the war and killed his father and former supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
The US and Israel are known to represent its main external adversaries; in fact, it has received direct threats of elimination by Israel and sanctions by the DUS Department of the Treasury since 2019.
The confrontation of Mojtaba Khamenei against the United States and Israel is divided into two major stages: his decades as the main shadow strategist within his father’s military and intelligence apparatus (Ali Khamenei) and his role as Supreme Leader in command of the direct war conflict in 2026.
For more than 20 years, Mojtaba operated without formal public office but consolidated a strategic relationship with the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC).
The conflict took a radical turn in late February 2026, when joint US-Israeli airstrikes hit key military and nuclear infrastructure in Iran, killing Ali Khamenei. Mojtaba immediately assumed supreme leadership and conduct of the state of war.
