San Antonio (USA), June 5 (EFE).- Jalen Brunson assured this Friday that the New York Knicks cannot feel satisfied or satisfied after winning the first two games of the NBA Finals and stressed that the mentality before the third has to be 0-0.
“Even with how the series is now, the next game the mentality has to be 0-0 again. That’s how it has to be. You can’t be comfortable. You can’t be satisfied with anything. You just have to move forward,” Brunson said at a press conference.
The Knicks defeated the San Antonio Spurs 104-105 this Friday, after also winning the first game 48 hours earlier, and went 2-0 in the NBA Finals.
“Our mentality was 0-0, not to think we were up 1-0,” Brunson said.
The Knicks star also talked about the Spurs’ 14-0 run in the final minutes, which practically culminated an epic comeback.
“We did a good job of staying calm in those situations. That speaks to the character this team has. Not breaking down in moments like this is key to winning games like this,” said Brunson, who finished the game with 20 points.
“At this point in the season, things are not going to be pretty. It’s going to be ugly. It’s going to be very hard. It’s that simple,” he added. EFE
