President of Fancap of Uruguay accused the parkers of “generating panic”

The Observer – Montevideo

The president of the Federation of Ancap Workers (Fancap), Salvador Sprovier, crossed the Union of Nafta Sellers (Unvenu) for being “generating panic in the population” due to the 24-hour strike announced by the union for this Friday.

“The strike is not in the entire federation, it is in the La Tablada sector. The rest of the floors and dependents work normally. I clarify this because, at the request of the Unvenuit has been reported quite poorly,” he began by questioning in an interview with the DobleClick program (Del Sol FM).

“The Union of Sellers of Naphtha deserves a criminal complaint, not only because they lied, but because they are generating panic in the population,” he later noted.

After this, he questioned that the “big businessmen” in the sector “speculate strongly” with the rise in fuel, buying “at the old value” and selling at the “high price”, and “they deceive people by telling them to go fill up.”

“The Unvenu What it does is generate this chaos to see if they can generate shortages, blame us and make us look bad in front of the population, because in reality the speculation business did not work out,” he said.

According to Sprovierdue to the strike there will be no shortage of fuel anywhere. “They know it, we know it, Ancap knows it and does not come out to speak, to tell the truth,” he criticized and pointed out that perhaps the company does not want to “agree with them.”

Ancapwhich is our administration, our boss, knowing the same data that we have here, people are not able to come out at least reassured,” he concluded.

The Fancap strike and the questions from Unvenu

This Friday, from 2:00 p.m., the union of Ancap will carry out a 24-hour strike hours before the new prices of the fuels for June.

The measures, the group points out, occur within the framework of the restructuring planned for the La Tablada refinery plant.

Despite the union measure, Fancap He assures that “there will be no shortage of fuel,” given that “45 million liters of fuel” will be shipped this week.

The availability of fuel at the stations is controversial by the Union of Nafta Sellers of Uruguay (Unvenu), which had already warned about supply problems that, according to what they say, are generated at the end of the month due to the strikes carried out by Fancap in the days before fuel adjustments.

The union pointed out that the situation is repeated month after month and ends up affecting both service stations and customers, who often fail to refuel before price increases.

The president of Unvenu, Daniel SanguinettiHe said to Him Observer which, although it does not have an official record, remembers “seven fuel increases” in which there were union measures before the increases.

“If I remember correctly, there have been seven fuel increases in which, prior to the increase, the people of Fancap go on strike,” he stated.

As he explained, the scenario is worsening because there is also a measure adopted by the Union of Fuel Transporters (UTCC). “If Fancap stops during the week, they don’t work on Saturday,” he said.

For Sanguinetti, the combination of both decisions ends up directly impacting the supply of the stations. “In reality, two measures from different unions are added that precisely worsen the supply at the stations,” he said.
