Brooke Shields explained the impact of his intimate scenes most remembered and how the way of filming them changed: today productions add intimacy coaches, supervision and more people on set, a context that makes her more aware of her body at 60 years old.
In an interview with Peoplethe actress maintained that the effect of those sequences did not depend on the physical perfectionbut of the authenticity and the personal confidence. She stated that beauty, for her, is linked to strength and security, not to an image without marks of the passage of time.
He also explained that he chooses to maintain routines of self care and exercise rather than looking for aesthetic shortcuts. Along these lines, he said that he never submitted to cosmetic surgery and that these types of procedures make him afraid, although he understands why other people consider them attractive.
In the interview, Shields pointed out that delicate scenes today are worked on with specific professionals. “Now they have intimacy trainers and they record things,” he recalled, describing how these sequences are planned and supervised in current productions.
He also joked about a resource that, he said, was more common before: having body doubles. “Now I want a body double and they won’t give me one!” he stated, noting that filming changed and that his relationship with the set also transformed.
Shields noted that, despite technical advances, the experience can be more uncomfortable because the team present is larger. According to him, this greater exposure influences how he goes through intimate scenes today.
“I think I’m probably more self-conscious now than when I was younger, because I need things picked up for me, so I have to use a pulley system to lift my tits up,” she admitted, referring to practical adjustments required by costumes or staging.
Late last year, Shields traveled to England to witness a sheep lambingan experience he described as a personal desire. She said that she helped the lambs to be born and that the situation impacted her because of its proximity to the life cycle.
The actress explained that she got that opportunity in a charity auction and that he waited until he received notification of the time of delivery. When she arrived, she invited friends and described: “You can see their snout and hooves. Then you approach them to their mother, the mother smells them and in three minutes she begins to clean them and breastfeed them.”
Additionally, Shields said he explored a creative path in Venetian glassware. Murano next to Alvin Orsini. In this context, he launched the capsule collection The Eternal Tavolaan initiative that allowed him to work in a different register than the set.
At this stage, she maintained, she prioritizes projects that motivate her and expand her professional life. Among them, she mentioned her hair care line for women over 40, and stated: “For me, beauty meant being intelligent and strong, but I recognize that there are changes. I perfectly understand that beauty is much more than not having wrinkles.”
