Spain avoids the European slowdown: Brussels maintains GDP growth at 2.4% despite the energy crisis

The Spanish economy will resist the impact of the energy crisis better than the European average. The European Commission expects GDP to advance by 2.4% in 2026four tenths less than the previous year, but still with a solid rhythm supported by consumption, employment and investment. Rising energy prices, however, will raise inflation to 3% and threatens to cool activity in the coming quarters, especially if the conflict in the Middle East continues.
