At 69 years of age, Don Lama died and left a wide legacy in the boxing chronicle; True to his style, critical, literate and reflective, the narrator left a posthumous message in which he thanked all the affection of his entire audience.
It was through their official social networks that the family of Lama, Lamita shared the last words of the sports analyst, in them, he took the time to say goodbye to his fans, as well as those who were with him throughout his more than 50 years of career.
“To my dear family, friends and my noble audience who have accompanied me throughout life: Today I do not address you with a goodbye, but with a deep and sincere see you later.“, reads at the beginning of the publication.
In a posthumous message he expressed his deep gratitude to Mexicoa country that he defined as the place where he not only developed his passion for boxingbut also where he found opportunity and a home for more than five decades. Lamazón highlighted that Mexico gave him a sense of belonging that marked his life, it is worth remembering that Eduardo Lamazón is originally from Buenos AiresArgentina, and from a very young age he migrated to Mexican lands.
“Mexico was not only the place where I developed my passion for boxing; it was the country that opened its doors to me when I needed it most, that gave me opportunities and it gave me a home for more than 50 years and, above all, a sense of belonging that marked my life forever,” he shared.
He extended special thanks to the public who listened to him every Saturday through their “favorite television station,” highlighting the trust placed in him and the possibility he had of being part of the viewers’ lives through his voice and work. And the phrase “Don Lama’s card…”, followed by “10 points for…” was the combination that led him to consecrate himself to the microphones of narration.
“Since my arrival, I found in this generous land not only a space to grow, but also affection, respect and human warmth. that is difficult to forget. Every experience, every word shared and every moment lived are gratefully saved in my memory. To my family and friends, thank you for accompanying me on this path; To the public, thank you for listening to me every Saturday through your favorite television station, as well as for rely and for allowing me to be part of their lives through my voice and my work,” he shared Don Lama.
