“There is not a single person who says that the result that is on the web, and the image of the report that is on the web, is not the one he has in his hand, not a single one. We are already reaching 80%. We hope to present to you today around 90% progress in results,” he said.
Along these lines, Corvetto highlighted the independence and autonomy of the electoral organizations against the Executive powerin response to concerns raised by parliamentarians about the vote counting process.
“The Executive Branch does not have any relationship of any kind with any of the three electoral organizations. We are autonomous and independent of the Executive Branch and that must be made clear because it can sow doubts about the process and the results,” said the head of the ONPE.
