The father of the 15-year-old teenager murdered in Flor de Maroñas was charged with the crime of aggravated homicide and repeated crimes of domestic violence as perpetrator.
The now accused must serve a six-month preventive detention while the investigation by the Prosecutor’s Office progresses.as confirmed by El Observador.
The event occurred at dawn on Friday in Flor de Maroñas, when they found the body of the minor in a ditch in this neighborhood of Montevideo. From the beginning it was investigated as a “doubtful death”, as reported in the first instance by Channel 10’s Subrayado.
As reported by the family, the situation began on Thursday night, when the father challenged the young man “for having bad manners with his mother” and left him in penance facing the wall. After a while, they allowed him to use the computer. The adults went to rest around 11 p.m., but around 3:00 a.m. on Friday the mother got up to go to the bathroom and noticed that her son’s bed was empty.
The parents went out to the neighborhood to look for him and on the way back the family dog began barking insistently towards a nearby ditch. There they found the teenager. The medical staff later confirmed the death.
The Prosecutor’s Office ordered an autopsy of the minor, as well as the expertise of the scene, the search for possible witnesses and the review of the records of the surveillance cameras in the area.
