Morgan: an even 50-50
The latest Morgan poll results of 1883 voters for the weekends 4-5 and 11-12 June 2005 are out.
If preferences of minor party voters were allocated as they were at the 2004 Federal election, the two-party preferred vote would see the Coalition on 50 per cent (down 1.5 on the previous Morgan poll), and Labor on 50 per cent (up 1.5).
In terms of the primary vote, the Coalition fell 1.5 percentage points on the previous Morgan poll to 43.5 per cent. Labor rose 0.5 points to 39.5 per cent.
I am a little dubious about the utility of polls taken over long weekends. Nonetheless, the graphs are here.
