Beazley popularity edges up: poll

The latest opinion poll reveals a slight increase in the popularity of the Federal Opposition and its leader Kim Beazley.

Today’s Newspoll survey shows Labor’s primary vote has risen by one point to 38 per cent, while the Coalition has fallen by one point to 47 per cent.

On a two-party preferred basis, the Coalition leads the Opposition 53 per cent to 47 per cent.

Mr Beazley’s personal approval has risen by two points to 29 per cent, while Prime Minister John Howard’s support has dropped two points to 54 per cent.

Because I am travelling, I will not update my poll graphs before Saturday.
